This is true, but (as you know) insufficient. Yes, money is the mechanism for corrupting politics.

But the root cause is an election system that requires impossible levels of spending to get elected.

Citizens United doesn't just allow corruption: it *requires* it.

Exactly why I had an issue with Bernie. The Supreme Court was the 2016 election. Getting rid of Citizens could have been accomplished. Took his eyes off the prize and didn't drop out early enough for Hillary to get elected easily putting an end to CU with her nominations and appointments to SC.

It wasn’t because of Bernie that Hillary lost. Blame Russia and Fox News and other factors for the loss as that is where the Blame belongs.
