I am intrigued by the splintering of social with the fall of Twitter. Feels like as an indie creator, I'm going to have to cultivate different, smaller audiences on multiple services. Kinda cool, 'cause those smaller audiences may be more intense/committed. But it's gonna take more time/effort.

Honestly don't know if any alternate service is going to replace Twitter as a kind of universal town square. Just don't know that there's room/space/will for folks to congregate like that on a single site again. So everything may just end up more disparate, spread out into diff communities.

Social media seems so splintered now. Users have tried new apps, resorted to old ones, or just stayed at Twitter hoping to wait it out. No one service has emerged as the frontrunner despite the vacuum. Spoutible could become the one with more work
