In the early 1990s, my office listened to the local ABC affiliate's noon newscast together at lunch. The day I heard the anchor announce a heatwave story with "The Sun rose today, like a ball of fire in the sky" I knew the era of serious TV news journalism was over.

Folks, we need more actual journalists and reporters like Murrow, Cronkite, Jennings, Walters, etc. Whatever the legacy media is peddling, it ain't it.

Most anchors are like robots now. They read the prompter without question, even as they see the deterioration and destruction with open eyes.
Just tell them what you think they want to know.
