I remember 1968, the year the world went crazy, we had such hopes, then MLK, Bobby, Paris burning, Kent State, Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia, Pueblo Incident, Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Anti War Protests...but Dr King's Assassination, flattened us followed by Robert Kennedy's...deep deep sadness.

The day the music died… yes. I was only a baby in 68. But I can imagine how flattening that was for hope… followed by the Vietnam War. A crushing time for our country. Do you feel things were scarier then or now?

I feel, then it was truly scary. Grew up in the cold war, It wasn't all doom, but like a pall hanging over everything. The 60s were exciting for sure, cultural explosion, high hopes for peace, justice for all. Now I feel the world has learned to deal with threats in a better way, less reactive.
