Thoughts on Judge Merchan's ruling on cameras in the courtroom: As much as we'd love to watch, denying Trump video coverage is like denying him oxygen. He loves the camera (although the feeling is hardly mutual 🤢). No footage for him manipulate for his fundrais...I mean, grifting.

YMMV.

Exactly. We don’t need to give him a platform or more oxygen.

Agree... though at the same time, he gets to control that part of the narrative and we the people have no way to refute - as in Jan6 insurrectionists' claims of peaceful demonstration negated by security camera footage + selfies.

The arraignment isn't that long of a process so there isn't that much to control.

There will be journalists in the courtroom, not that fact-checking matters to these people.

I totally get the argument in favor of cameras in that Court, to deny you know who the ability to spin things to his liking.

But I figured since this is a state rule, it probably wouldn’t be overturned for this.

I mean, regardless of the presence of cameras in the courtroom, TFG is going to spin like a dervish.
