Eff Joe Lieberman & his "No Labels" group. 3rd party runs can have a varied impact, but the most likely outcome is the Republican minority winning and further harming marginalized people. If they don't support Biden & Dems, that's what they want, too.

Our country, with the size of the population should have 20 political parties or more! We have more types of cherrio cereals than political parties!

Maybe, but it would never work unless we changed to a parliamentary system, or perhaps universal ranked choice voting. Otherwise 3rd party votes mostly just siphon away a chance at progress.

It's like clockwork. As soon as the POTUS election "season" begins, 3rd party "advocates" come out of the woodwork to proclaim its time to break the duopoly and lots of other fun-sounding stuff, but they never have a plan for their inevitable electoral loss. (more)

They never seem to be willing to put in the actual work required (local election wins for 3P candidates, ranked/ranged voting systems, etc.) to make their stated goal (a 3rd party president) a reality.
