Stephen king used defenestrated in the Stand, and it is a cool word. FWIW, I think he used it improperly. Good luck on Tue novel perhaps I will unknowingly read it

It comes in the scene where Larry Underwood goes to Stu and Frans place looking to meet Harold Lauder. Frankie knocks a planter off the balcony and it defenestrated on the sidewalk. In case you are wondering where in the tome it is.

Yeah, and that poor usage has stretched across all the editions I have read.

There is a glaring editorial mistake in most editions too, but right now I can't remember what it is but itt pops right out every time I read it
