Got the date for my lumbar fusion. I'm scared to death. Doc says he can only give 7 days of pain meds at a time and they're having a hard time finding them. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I had a spinal fusion many years ago, procedure is much improved since then. I had a nerve pain that used to shoot down my leg and make it jerk, for about 3mths afterwards. The things I found that helped was hydrotherapy or even just walking in the pool. 1/2

I'm sorry! :( I'm allergic to many prescription narcotics and pain meds, so I've talked to doctors about it and you can take up to 1000 milligrams of Ibuprofen every 6 hours. It really does help more than you might expect. Maybe save the strongest meds for the worst parts? Hope that helps!

Yes. I usually use edibles but it only helps the muscle spasms. I'll make sure I'm stocked up though. Thanks
