👀 Guess I won't be charging my phone at airports anymore.

The FBI is warning people to not use public phone charging stations, like those at airports and shopping malls, because hackers have figured out a way to introduce malware and other software onto devices through them.

I wonder the same thing all the time. Why are there so many people in this world who are dead set on causing harm to others? It boggles my mind. But that's because I'm not one of those people.

I saw on Jeff Rosen that they make a little device that you plug into the public and to your device and it will not happen to you. Of course another piece of gear to forget!

They can literally steal financial information at those kiosks, bring your own chargers.

I always carry my own charger and cable when I travel. Better careful than sorry.

Definitely not at public charging ports 📵🔌🪫

Get yourself a nice portable charger you can throw in your carry on. I like and use Anker external battery.
