The Harlan /Thomas story is big enough that us Progressives could build a groundswell that encourages POTUS to expand the SCOTUS. He could literally say he's expanding the court to cancel out the vote of a 'bought and paid for Justice,' that should otherwise resign.

Perhaps I'm missing your point, but POTUS cannot unilaterally expand the Supreme Court.

That's a job for Congress. With the House under GOP majority, and the Senate nearly evenly split, that's unlikely to happen anytime soon in favor of a more liberal bench.

We should expand the court to 13, and not for the reason you say. Each justice covers special appeals for 1 US AppealsCourt, and there are 12. So now 3 judges each have to cover 2 circuits.

We could expand to 12, but that’s an even #. If the chief oversees SCOTUS,+ 12 each covers 1 circuit =13

Don't care what the reason is, as long as its done. It has to happen, to create a fair, representative, and trustworthy court again. That or term limits, but this is honestly better.

Something has to be done and quickly.
This court is more than just compromised ... it's dangerous.

It needs a Hashtag to get started.
How about #BalanceTheCourt or #ExpandTheCourt
