"The anticipated annual Lyrid meteor shower will begin on Sunday, sending fleeting bright streaks across the night sky. Though the spectacle will be visible from April 16 to 25, the best time for viewing will be on April 22."

Nice article. Not to be Debby Downer but it *is* disappointing that a publication that presents as a source of accurate information wd use an image of what the accompanying article is not. The image is a several-minutes-long exposure facing north of an ordinary night sky, not of a meteor shower.

Yeah, I suppose they chose it for its beauty, and to attract people to read the article, but I agree they should use a photo of what they are talking about, no question. Thanks for your comment 💚

Hopefully we won't have persistent cloud cover like we have had the last couple of years. Its A beautiful thing to see, but the weather just has not cooperated in recent years. I really hope to watch it while night fishing for walleye like years past. At this altitude its quite a show some years!

I had been looking at a star party out in the middle of nowhere on 4/22. This may cinch it.
