Even up here in supposedly progressive Canada, I've noticed that bigotry against the unhoused seems to be acceptable in all but the most Leftist/pro-social justice circles. They are seen as basically vermin to be removed, and any attempt to even build affordable housing is met by a hoard of NIMBYs.
