consistently requesting an extension, but in my defense I'm a tax preparer. By the time I get through client filings, and April deadlines, I'm wiped. I need 60 days of downtime.

I did mine AND recd my refund by the first week of Feb. Always an early bird because I don't want to give any fraudsters an opportunity to file a fake return in my name.

We live below the poverty line. I get that puppy in just as soon as they will take it! 😆

Usually before April 1. This year, done but not until last week.
Much smaller refund than 2022, and the only things that were different on our end were that I paid less student loan interest (on hold while PSLF processed; now done forever), and husband started drawing partial social security.

People are often surprised when they see the tax return after drawing social security. Social security is taxed at the "drawing time" and that's when you have fewer allowances and writeoffs -- because you've sensibly paid off debt before retirement -- so your tax rate is higher.

I have to file by mail for state return bc I moved to 🇨🇦 last year. Finally paid someone this year to do my taxes bc of the US and foreign earnings. Will keep filing to maintain my right to vote in the 🇺🇸 for the rights of my family even though I no longer live there. Hope y’all get refunds!

I get a refund every year so I file as soon as possible. This year it was deposited within a week!

I e filed last night. No response yet, but I assume it's because it's a sunday.

I don't normally file on a weekend. But it's in.

We usually have it in by 4/1, but b/c we sold our business last year (& property), we’re gonna be late/ filed an extension this year🫣
B/c of said sale, we’ve been traveling a LOT, so trying to get things gathered, only to get on the road & hear from Acct we’re another document short 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm more of a "I'm going to do it early this year, I swear", but still waiting until a week or two before the deadline to get it done
