A 15-year-old child, who is not sexually active or interested in sex, lives in Georgia, where there is a six-week abortion ban. This child is going on birth control pills in case she is raped.

Pam, I don’t mean to sound blithe. I am being earnest when I say, at some point, hard decisions will have to be made. Either way, there will be consequences. I learned a long time ago that sometimes you win by walking away. It may hurt in the short run, but in the long run you are better off.
