Neither can I. That is how privilege feels.

I cannot imagine the stress, fear, and anxiety Black parents must feel trying to raise their children in this country.

"Fusing science and social justice, renowned public health researcher Dr. Arline T. Geronimus offers an urgent, "monumental" book (Ibram X. Kendi, author of Stamped from the Beginning) exploring the ways in which systemic injustice erodes the health of marginalized people."

Me neither. Watching the Gray's Anatomy episode to where Miranda Bailey was teaching her son to do when he was getting his permit to drive, triggered me. I can't imagine having to live that way. I honestly never really knew how bad things were.

Agree... "the talk" is a foreign concept to many people (me included, although I'm from 🇵🇭), not to black parents. And imagine the guilt of the mother (?) who asked her son to pickup his sibling. Even though it's not her fault, it was almost beyond repair.

The talk to me meant something different to me as a young girl but there was a talk.
