I don't understand why they settled. They had a strong case against Fox, so why would they settle for less money?

They have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to get the most compensation possible. A jury trial always carries an element of risk. I wish they hadn’t settled for anything less than making all of Fox’s talking heads admit their lies on air, but I understand why they didn’t feel like th

Maybe because Dominion is only worth $80m or so, so was a big risk that jurors would not apply such high damages, although I imagine they would def have won and received a payout and we would have all been very happy with the public shaming. Money wins again.
