Unpopular opinion; I think the SpaceX test yesterday was a successful failure. Decoupled from its asshat CEO, the way they’re testing rockets is different from NASA. They have several other rockets ready to go for additional tests one they’ve analyzed this one for improvements to make.

In the 50's we tried the SpaceX. It did not produce confidence in the space program. Let me ask you. Would you ride on SpaceX or Artemis?

I’m not sure I get what you’re saying?
There was not a private entity in the 1950’s trying to get to space. In the US it was initially the military and then NASA was created as a civilian entity - but their first rockets were just repurposed military rockets.

Between the two current flight certified rockets available in the US I would be comfortable taking either the Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, or Artemis. Starship isn’t flight certified yet, that’s part of the process last weeks launch test was for. They’ll get there, and were surprising close on test #1 .
