Pls read; it's by @DavidCorn and is about the banning of #Maus . Echoes warranted (that's how good it is).

Tomorrow, April 24th, the #SpoutibleBannedBookClub begins its discussion of #Maus I: My Father Bleeds History. Anyone can join. Discussion guidelines pinned on my profile page. #SBBC

In school, back in the 60s we had to watch films of what happened. I was probably in grade 6, so I was 12 years old when I first saw films of big mass graves uncovered naked dead bodies, and the ovens. The narration of the torture and horrors. 1/2

It made me sick that any human could do this to another human. It was real, graphic, and horrifying as it should be. Nothing was sugar-coated, or dumbed down in school and certainly not in my home. 2/2

Corn got it wrong. The minutes are the transcript of a farce. The conversations outside of and prior to board meetings is where the real discussions take place.

That community doesn't want their children to learn about the Holocaust.

Minutes, schminutes! There are words and there are actions.
