Guess I have to drop my periodic reminder that "Judeo-Christian" IS NOT A THING.

It's a nonsense buzzword Christians use that actually means "Christian, but we're gonna pretend Judaism is Christianity lite."

It isnt, and I will call it out *EVERY DAMNED TIME*.

Have you done any research on the origin of the term? Not looking to argue. Just curious.

Let me put it like this.
I have an orthodox parent who spent their career in politics. I know *precisely* how this term is used and why.

There is not one tenet shared by Judaism and Christianity that is also not shared by a zillion other religions. It's a dogwhistle, not a real thing.

I've always understood it to be the opposite, that christianlty, being based somewhat on judaism, was judaism-lite.

It is not.

It's wildly different. It may have come from that source and uses some of the same material, but it's *very* different, with different principles, rules, culture and ethical considerations.

It's not even close to the same.

My pleasure. I will do this *every single time* until people stop doing it.
