Alan Tudge, once the golden boy of the conservative "Liberal" Party (a historical misnomer) resigned in disgrace this week a Royal Commission, revealed a concerted campaign by the then human services minister to silence Robodebt victims by releasing their information to “friendly” media.

No surprise that Tudge oversaw a strategy to place stories about 52 Robodebt victims who’d complained, in “friendly media”, described in the Commission by his paramour Rachelle Miller as “rightwing media”. These included Murdoch's 'The Australian' and other newspapers. The RC is ongoing.

Tudge's story reads like a penny dreadful, including his affair with with a 'staffer' who he is alleged to have abused (case settled for $650,000). He denies any responsibility for the Robodebt scheme - where an algorithm sent out debt notices to Social Security beneficiaries.
