You can enlist in the military at 17 (with parental consent) in the USA.

But if you get gender affirming surgery at 17 you're considered a "child" who is "too young to be making life changing decisions" 🤦🏻‍♀️

This isn't about "protecting children" it's about trying to erase Trans people

I joined the Marines at 17 with parental consent and got PTSD from my time in the Corps. PTSD has seriously altered my life and not for the better, which is the opposite of the way gender affirming care helps Trans youth.
