Can’t get verified here because my name is different from what it was on Twitter. Support wasn’t very helpful either. Anyone have a workaround?

I understand your frustration, but having a "workaround" to transferring your Twitter verification would defeat not only the purpose but also the security of it. At present, there is no other method for verification on this platform, but I'm sure there will be in the relatively near future.

I’m just a content creator so honestly it really doesn’t matter but it would be important for politicians, celebrities, and corporations to know. Bringing more legacy blue checks is going to be one of the ways a new platform will win.

It’s not really frustrating. I just wanted to note the issue. You need to log into your Twitter account to access the legacy verification but it still won’t work if your usernames don’t match. It’s not that important but they should probably tell you before you choose your name here.

As far as I can see, you're correct that it doesn't say it on the page where you access it here (under account settings), but it is mentioned on the help page here, and I'm pretty sure Chris says it in all of his twitter posts about it. In any case, you're here, and we're glad to have you. :-)
