Nathan Eovaldi shuts out the Yankees 2-0. Just ... no.... offense. By the way, as a member of the Yankees, Eovoldi has Tommy John surgery plus rehab that the Yankees paid for (along with insurance). Eovoldi said thank you by signing a contract with the Red Sox.

This was supposed to be a better hitting team than the home-run-or-bust Yankees of last season. Well, now they don't hit for contact or power. This mIght be worst Yankee lineup in decades. And the most fragile. Only record Yankees will set this season is games lost to injury.

You could be right. I think Volpe, Peraza and Cabrera should be in the lineup everyday - if this is the future.

Volpe looks like real deal, but has to show he can hit high fastball, which has been his strikeout pitch. Peraza looks like he can play, and should replace Donaldson. Cabrera has to learn plate discipline—he needs to reach base more. Yanks need better medical staff, too. This is a rebuilding year.
