Both things are an issue. But in my mind, the gun is still the critical part.

If he was in Tx illegally WITHOUT access to a gun, those 5 souls would still be with us.
If he was in Mexico WITH a gun and the same scenario, people would be dead.

That’s the point.

The notion buried in this anti-immigrant rhetoric is that we should wave a flag every time a "legal" citizen shoots and kills people. "Well, at least they were here legally. God Bless America."
