I do not have patience. The whole concept doesn't work for me. I've had to develop a bunch of different methods to deal with time demands. So, it's taken me six decades to realize that most people don't understand that other people's lives have their own rhythms. /1

Too many people don't notice that they are requiring that others interrupt their own flows of action to immediately match up with their flows. Many don't even notice that their actions have flows and paces. /2

They act as if their pacing is inherent or natural. And others are just off or clumsy or too quick or too slow. It's only since I've been studying polyrhythmic music that I've come to realize how much people's senses of each other's action flows are messed up.
