Just back from a field trip to look for Atelopus limosus at one of our most reliable sites. Unfortunately the frog seems to have disappeared as a result of chytridiomycosis related declines, over the last 10 years.

I know nothing about what you’re talking about but keep us informed. Runs to Google Atelopus limosus and chytridiomycosis.

Chytridiomycosis is a disease caused by a fungal pathogen that is wiping out the worlds frogs. More than 90 species have disappeared and more than 100 more species have declined by 90% or more. Atelopus are a genus of colorful harlequin frogs in the tropics that have declined precipitously.
