As somebody who lives in a country with a long land border with the United States, I think it’s OK to be justifiably concerned about the state of the country south of the border, 74 million people voted for Trump, we live next-door to a country where 74 million people are prepared to except fascism.

Exactly. It's naive of to think this doesn't also exist in Canada. I've seen evidence of it in my own small community with the rise of the anti-trans, antivax, faux Christian movements.

I mean the Ottawa occupiers had a manifesto to topple Trudeau and install a dictator of their choosing. No Canadian should be naive. We’re just lucky that so far, they’re more fringe and we’re a less religious country with a federal nonpartisan election commission.

I've also seen it here in my small town. But most of people around here are not even Religious just conservative supporters. People who are easily swayed by memes on Facebook
