You have to click the "Add Threaded Spout" button. Our threading works differently than Twitter. Replying to yourself is treated as a standard reply. If you want threading, you must click the "Add Threaded Spout" button.

It looks like I may have found another issue. If a spout in the middle of a thread gets deleted, the rest of the thread gets lost in the ether. In the screenshots, I had created a thread and then deleted the 2nd spout. It still counts as 1/4, with no way to access the other spouts.

Maybe a placeholder can be put in its place when deleting a “middle of a thread” spout. Something like “this spout was deleted by the original spouter.” @cbouzy

The first thread I did numbered the second spout, but the next thread didn't number them. Not a complaint, because I'm happy about the new feature! Just an FYI: https://spoutible.com/thread/6256079

It looks like there’s an issue when individual spouts within a thread are echoed. The echoed spout marks the spout as the first in the thread.

Thank you for giving us a new feature!

The first spout appears on my page, and the one for which I clicked Add Threaded Spout added "#2" in blue. Looks like I should have typed "a thread," so people know it's a thread and not someone else's response to my post.

Where exactly is the "add threaded spout" button? Don't see it.

Good question. It doesn't show up in original spouts or for replies.

I just discovered where it is. Spout your first one, then when it shows up in your timeline, click on it to go into the spout, and you'll see the "add threaded" button.

You click "add threaded spout" every time you want a new spout in the thread right? Never just hit reply?

Did you click on your first spout like you would when looking for replies?
