As a parent of a special needs child you think "I will care for them forever if needed"- but none of us are immortal. Some have very limited support networks. What do you think care should look like for our young adults aging out of school systems?

I think of a "village" type setting. Like you would see for elders working though dementia or memory loss. Or perhaps a summer camp type atmosphere? Live-in school setting? Something more where an aging parent can live as well to help "train" staff in their child's needs before they are unable to?
