I took a little hiatus to focus on some other things, but I'm back and...

I have questions.

What's with people turning off their vehicle (4 diff SUVs and 1 sedan) at stop lights or stop signs, then restarting when it's their turn to go?

Why?

These new features on cars are trash. This and automatically unlocking your doors when you put the car in park.

There are newer vehicles that have an engine shutdown feature. Happens when the brake is applied for a period of time. Vehicle restarts when brake is released. It can be disabled. Maybe that’s what you are seeing.

I did not know this was a thing, thank you. I thought some silly new trend was at play.

Well. Now I feel silly for not knowing but it's smart thinking! Thanks.

I drive a hybrid so...I am used to my car falling silent but never off.
