It is about time to start blaming voters and holding them accountable for the gun violence in America. Voters continually re-elect politicians who block any gun reform. Elections have consequences and if you want to halt gun violence then simply elect those who will do so.

It's not that simple, though. The fascists have VERY successfully gerrymandered and vote suppressed themselves into power. They've been working on minority rule for generations now.

While gerrymandering has some impact it doesn't effect statewide candidates such as governors or senators. Let's start there. Abbott won reelection against a strong gun control opponent. If Texan voters wanted to stop or reduce gun violence, they had the chance.

Gerrymandering was one of two things I mentioned.

Ultimately, I am leery of any "the solution is simple" narrative. It tends to place an onus on the very victims of, say, voter suppression.
