Had a great flight yesterday in a new (to me) Cessna 172 flying out of Raymond, Miss. up to Belzoni in the Delta.

I'm loving these twilight flights over Mississippi in winter.

Damn, this is weird, I bought a 1976 172 after I sold the Aercoupe. The 172 is a fine plane. Regretfully, I am to old to fly anymore, but I sure do miss it. Keep your wings level and be safe

This is a rental I got from the flight school where I got my private and will likely start on my instrument rating in the spring.

It's a 1979 172N -- 180 hp -- very strong for a 172 in my (limited) experience, I was seeing 120 knots indicated, which I don't ses on the other 172s I fly.

I'm 81 years old now, had to give up flying a few years ago, but I am happy for you my friend, I know you will rack up a lot of great memories in the air. BTW I was borned and lived in Thomasville, GA 35 miles north of Tallahassee so flying up an down the gulf coast was a lot of fun.
