The Proud Boys are the modern day equivalent of the Sturmabteilung (the brownshirts).
But THIS private army doesn't answer to tRUmp alone.
It is becoming the violent arm of the republican party in toto.

There is no legal classification of any group like that. The FBI and others can choose to target certain groups, but they can't do anything to restrict speech, assembly, or petition short of harming, threatening, or conspiring to harm others. Then you can only prosecute actions, not a "group."

The US must start designating domestic terrorist organizations as it does foreign orgs with FTO.
It's simply foolhardy not to.
And freedom of speech doesn't enter into it when that speech is calling for full-scale slaughter.

Calling for slaughter in general is constitutionally different from specific targets. You can look it up from there. What you want won't happen.

I have lived in countries that "banned" certain organizations. It was stupid and ineffective at best and often highly counterproductive. Where are former members of the ANC and IRA today, for example?

Hence our constitutional guarantees coupled with rules-based law enforcement of criminal statutes.
