Some days, it feels like getting out of bed was a terrible idea. My stupid car decided today, at rush hour, with a load of groceries, was a great time to require a couple hundred dollars in repairs.

On the "counting my blessings" side, thank goodness for a brother-out-law with a tow dolly, a mechanic son, and being in a place where I could park safely and wait for them to arrive.

And double thanks for the son who is letting me use his car until he can fix mine (he'll be using his truck).

Oh no, I'm so sorry. Seems like car troubles always happen at the worst times.

Always! The funniest thing was that I kept telling my daughter, "But I put the emergency shoes back in the car, and I didn't even have a full tank of gas!"

In my personal experience, breakdowns always happen when you have a full tank of gas (wasted money) OR you have a child who doesn't have shoes and will need to be carried.

I purposefully never fill my car above 3/4s tank and I always keep a spare pair of shoes for the grandson I chauffeur daily.
