Social mood is trending down at high degree, and the market will go with it regardless of the debt ceiling resolution, and rates will rise regardless--or so my longtime study and market conditions indicate. I have even more confidence in Biden's handling of this challenge than in those assessments.

Inflation is currently moderating. Oil prices are down. As long as we keep throwing up new solar & wind, energy prices will go down. New sodium battery tech will usher in more EVs.

So, lots of good energy & inflation news.

We need that debt ceiling problem in the rearview mirror.

I suspect that it's much less consequential than being just the GOP outrage fodder of the day. They'll have something else next month and thereafter. More challenging will be navigating the *dynamics* of deflation in which crude (and natural gas) will likely go well >100 after bottoming briefly
