This has always fascinated me as much as irritated me. Why is it that white men with the bare minimum qualifications (pick a field, any field!) seem more qualified and authoritative than Ppl of color, specifically women, who are more qualified, yet don’t get the same notice? Like, what?? 😵‍💫

Like, shouldn’t it be that the most experienced voice should be the lead? But if that voice is a woman or a person of color (or heaven forbid, BOTH) the majority rule would rather favor the mediocrity of white men rather than the excellence/expertise of a person of color? #MakeItMakeSense

True that! Solve that issue, and I think we solve pretty much every other issue with it! The current system of societal norms exists to prop up and coddle white men at the detriment of everyONE and everyTHING else (social change, environmental issues, etc). Something’s gotta give 😔
