There is something so personal and anxiety inducing about having someone edit your scripts for a game.

Like co-writing is great and I love it, but then to have someone go through and find all you mistakes is a real hit to the ego.

Always is, regardless of the writing. The trick is take the hit, pull back when ready and then see if they had a point.

For sure. Even when you get bad feedback (feedback that is unhelpful) it usually points towards a good idea

"Usually" is a little vague in my spout, what I mean by it is I feel like feedback gives you a vector of the problem, the issue is figuring out which direction on that vector to go. That's when multiple people's feedback comes in, you can use the vectors to triangulate the actual issue.
