So I work and pay into Social Security all my life, and I can get my benefits if I work some more. This sounds great! Do I get to train my replacement before I die?

Sounds to me like a set up for the compromise to be "ok, fine. No work requirements for Medicare but everybody else has to work for benefits" Sounds rich coming from a Congress that works limited days, has great benefits, lifetime automatic retirement perks and no actual laws against insider trading

One way to do this is to raise the age at which a person can start receiving benefits. Bingo! Requiring more work.

This is exactly why I stopped reading anything from Raw Story. It mentions nowhere in the article anything about social security but its clear as day in the headline. Gives us the quote or docs. Don't BS us.

Raising the age of retirement, which they have discussed, requires more work. It says "all of them."
