Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I didn't carry the ever-present burden of being Black and a woman. Like how carefree would I be if I didn't have to worry about racism, sexism, and more.

However, with all the challenges it can bring, I love being a woman, especially a Black woman!

Yes, we are the originators. But I'd love to spend my energy not focusing on bracing for impact for what I know I'm going to receive. It's not healthy going through life having to constantly be on guard.
