Real "Journalism" is dead in the United States. Our major news outlets are purposely deceiving the country on their reporting of the debt ceiling crisis. Just 19% of articles mentioned that the GQP routinely raised or suspended the debt ceiling during the Trump administration:

This is hardly all news outlets, nor is their coverage identically bad. "Purposefully" is also an accusation which requires proof.

Is there a lot of bad journalism? Yes. But treating all journalists as equally corrupt is just "both sides"ism, akin to saying "Democrats and Republicans are the same".

See the stats above and these are THE major outlets in the US. AND here it is via video where they just regurgitate GQP talking points:

So when Trump once again brands the press "the enemy of the people" and talks about how he'll "open up our libel laws" to make it easier to sue reporters for negative coverage will you object, and appear the hypocrite? Or shrug and say "Yeah, he's right on this one"?

The collective "we" need to hold them accountable and demand better / more. "We" got here by their attacks on HRC and putting their thumb on the scale to get the orange doofus elected in the first place.

We got Trump for a lot of reasons, but a big part of it was lazy "both sides"ism.

I don't disagree that bad reporting needs to be held accountable, but it needs to be done with more nuance than "all journalists are corrupt". That just normalizes corrupt as inevitable.
