I'm 55, and this is only the 2nd time in my life I've been on the job market. I feel I could give a week-long presentation to all these recruiters on how to communicate via e-mail and another week-long presentation on how to interview people. Re-read what you wrote, and don't ask dumb questions.

and stop the bullshit where you have to submit a resume, cover letter and spend half an hour filling in their own online form that covers EXACTLY what's in the resume.
And post the damn wages in ads. Don't waste my time.

I had to find a job last summer. Despite all these supposed worker shortages, it took months. Ended up being shit pay so I had to look for another one. SO MANY HOOPS.
But I really like it, so there's that.

Good for you, Kid. Keep at it. But don't ever give up your happiness for a company that would lay you off for their bottom line. And a lot of these companies I've applied to give off that vibe.

Yep. That last place...was shady. Didn't take me long to start looking. I think I made it two months.
The new place, I really enjoy it
