The word 'truth' is sorely misused by many; my opinion of course.
The only inevitable truth I can say with certainty is that everything that lives, dies eventually.

'Your truth' was once termed as your philosophy, acting according to your belief system.

'A truth' is debatable as an enduring concept; even the Sun is not guaranteed to rise, as long as the Earth can be destroyed in some way. OK the high probability is the Sun will rise but it is not guaranteed.

'THE TRUTH' is by far the worst of all declarations because there is only one guaranteed truth (as mentioned). I see this declaration as the product of a closed mind, no longer testing their version of truth to validate or revise it. And more often than not it is to destroy an 'alternative truth'.

I read somewhere the declaration that science is truth; it isn't. Science is based on probability and observation.

Religion is not truth; it is a belief system.

An old axiom states that in war the first casualty is the truth. History yet lies in the telling of it and examples there are aplenty.
