So Chase Bank has really fucked with a lot of people today. They've somehow doubled some automatic payments (in my case, our mortgage) and still haven't resolved the issue. Folks accounts are overdrawn by $1000s and have no access to cash until Chase gets its act together. Aye aye aye.

It doesn't appear to be fixed for anyone yet. I'm fortunate to have a cushion in that account but good grief, this is disastrous for some folks. Wish it had been a utility bill and not our mortgage.

Yeah mine's not enough to affect me but I can only imagine how that could be a real problem for many. Bank errors are one reason I put all of my bills on a single credit card and pay that off every month. It's easier to keep track of and I get % cash back

I do the same except for our mortgage and one utility bill because neither accept credit card payment.

My double payment was on my credit card bill so it's not just checking that's been affected. I tried calling my insurance company but they have a one hour wait on the phone. I get so irritated. I wrote to them and said most companies that care about their clients at least have a call back option
