I had depression most of my life; erratically from about the age of 5 until I was about 47. Therapy & Prozac helped some. When I developed severe insomnia, I started taking a Vitamin B supplement with B12 which was supposed to make me feel more energized. It did - AND no more depression.

Depression is frequently "situational" - bad things in your life can make you feel bad for a while. That's normal. But when you feel like crap or have trouble functioning when things are going well, that's not good. Trying something like B12 is cheap & safe - it might not work but it might!

A combination of my epilepsy meds (clonazepam, pregabalin, and lacosamide) in conjunction with Cymbalta helps a lot with CBT therapy. I've never tried b-12, but I have a bottle, so I'll give it a try. Is there a dose to start with or do I just titrate up slowly??
