Easy. I have gone to too many concerts. I was also one of those 20-something guys who thought having a car stereo that the rest of the street could hear was cool. So my hearing is kinda shit and I don't do well in environments with background noise. Subtitles let me "hear" around my kids and pets.

Why is everyone watching TV with subtitles on?

I should sue Ted Nugent for my hearing loss. He played Ohio a lot in the 1970’s.

Ted was my 1st concert. Opener was a relatively unknown band at the time called Rush.

I think it was a $6 ticket

YES! And Foreigner, and REO, and Boston, and Styx, and ...

I took my daughter to her first concert, Imagine Dragons, a few years back. LOUDER than any concert I ever attended! I have tinnitus bad, so I bought some high-tech ear plugs for everyone in the group. Nobody wanted them - until it started!

That high-pitched hum I hear when I lay head on the pillow is a reminder of great concerts at outrageously cheap prices from my youth

I paid $8.50 each for Pink Floyd tickets in 1975, Pittsburg.
