So, I’m thinking that bit-by-bit, I’ll talk a little about myself on here.

I’m an Afrofuturist artist whose practice encompasses performance, cosplay, textile work, storytelling, digital collage, writing, and installation. I do whatever I’m called to in the moment. #Afrofuturism

This piece is the first in a new series that I’m still meditating on—I’m inspired by space exploration, NASA, and the majesty of the cosmos, and Mae Jemisin (along with Sally Ride) has had a major role in steering my curiosity about the universe.

I use a flower motif in all of my digital work—it is a through-line reaching across time and space to connect my subjects, which include myself, my family, and the African diaspora. The color white points to flowers associated with funerary traditions and my pondering of eternity and the cosmos.
