I have heard a very good argument for keeping Judge Cannon on the US v. Disgraced Twice Impeached Former President (DTIFP) case.

Judge Cannon has been slapped down hard by the Conservative 11th circuit. She will be under increased scrutiny for anything that smacks of undue ruling.

If Judge Cannon is replaced, potentially by another judge installed by DTIFP, that judge would start with a clean slate and may get away with more questionable rulings.

I think that's bad logic. Either a judge is crooked or not. She is crooked. Her job this time (as defined by Federalist Society members who will be guiding her) is to help trump delay delay delay. Do what it takes to put the trial far into the future. And to grant zero prison time at the end.

I cannot deny your points and am in agreement. Fortunately I am capable of holding opposing opinions at the same time.
