In the Blaine Higgs admin's now infamous revisions to educational Policy 713, the explicit protection for extracurricular participation "consistent with their gender identity” has been removed, in line with anti-trans participation in sport legislation in 22 US states.

Sport is never more important than the basic and legally-enshrined human right to gender identity and expression. Since trans women are women, they deserve and require access to all women’s spaces, including sport.

More than sport is at stake.
