This treatment of black GIs was absolutely unacceptable and cruel. I sadly believe that many of our current legislators would do the same thing now.

No doubt about it. As it is, the GOP are always wanting to cut funding from our veterans much less those who are not Caucasian.

The more we know and all that. It prevented young AA families a chance at the american dream, whatever that means. For some but not all.

Maybe only native Americans were treated worse by the services.
