Hello Spouties. Looking for recommendations in Lower Manhattan. Staying 2 nights this weekend. First time staying there - coming from Ontario, Canada. :)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner places? What food is NY known for?

Thx!

In Lower Manhattan with limited time, one place not to miss is Russ and Daughters. Katz Deli, too, though I'm a pescatarian, so I can't speak to that personally. Remember, too, that nothing is terribly far by train. I recommend Totto Ramen and Turkish Cuisine in Hell's Kitchen.

Tell me more - best seafood places, and seafood markets that the locals hang around?

My favorite Italian seafood place in lower Manhattan, Aquae, is closed, I'm sorry to say. If you feel like venturing by car or train, I love Bahari in Astoria. Delicious Greek seafood. I also love Bati for Ethiopian food in Brooklyn. Short ride over from Lower Manhattan. You won't go wrong.

Greeks know their seafood!

Any local seafood markets or do I have to venture ex-Manhattan?
